Frequently Asked Questions

If you do not find the answer to your question below, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to help you with any enquiries.

A: We can say that 95% of our ingredients are organically grown, however we are unable to certify them as most of them are not grown or found in the United Kingdom.

A: According to UK cosmetic laws, we are required to add a preservative in each product that contains water in order to prevent the growth of bacteria and fungus. We spent many weeks researching and looking for the safest and most eco-friendly preservative that will not harm or dry the skin in any way. We have also added a spoon with every cream so that you do not dip your fingers into the jars, which may have bacteria on them, to help to extend their shelf life.

A: We have a small laboratory in Buckinghamshire where we hand make all of our products daily. We enjoy this immensely, as we are very passionate about Azara and take great pride in ensuring that you receive the freshest products from us each time you make an order.

A: Due to the natural and organic nature of our products, we were unable to give them a shelf life of over 3 months as we do not use strong preservatives that can keep them on the shelf for over 6 months regardless of whether they are opened or not. We use a very mild preservative that is effective on our products and keeps them at their best during the first 3 months. We recommend that you use them daily as soon as you buy them to benefit medically from the fresh ingredients in them.

A: Yes, you can, all of our products are safe to use on babies and we have made a note of the products that are especially good for newborns and small children.

A: You can contact us via phone or email and we will be more than happy to suggest the right products for you.

A: Yes, all the soap bars are suitable for the body, face and as a shampoo for hair.

Bespoke Products

A: Yes, it is, please send us a bespoke product request using the contact form and we will get back to you.

A: Yes, it is possible, we can replace it with mango or cocoa butter.

A: It takes 6 weeks to have soap bars ready, as they are cold processed. Our minimum order is 3 100g soap bars. Please visit our Allergies page for more information about bespoke orders.

A: Unfortunately no, as they would all need new designs. Bespoke products come in plain or neutral brand packaging with our logo and an amended ingredients list.

A: We try our best to send out all the orders on the same day, however if a product, such as a cream or body lotion needs to be freshly made, it will be sent within 2 working days. Products, such as soap bars, that have already been made will be sent out on the same day if the order has been made before 4pm.

A: If you live abroad, we recommend that you sign up with Aramex’s Shop and Ship Service, in which you are given a UK forwarding address. This way you just pay the UK postage cost, plus a fee for them to forward your parcel on to its destination. It works out cheaper, however this may take up to 9 days to reach you.

A: Unless it has arrived to you damaged in any way, we do not refund returned bespoke products.

A: Yes of course, if they have not been opened and the packaging is intact. We advise that you return them as soon as possible, as the products do not have long shelf life and they will be accepted by us.
